B-2s take to the skies during Global Thunder 15
Two B-2 Spirit bombers taxi from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., Oct. 26, 2014, in support of Global Thunder 15. Global Thunder is a field training and battle staff exercise designed to exercise all U.S. Strategic Command mission areas with primary emphasis on nuclear command, control and communications.. The B-2 has a crew of two pilots, a pilot in the left seat and mission commander in the right. The B-2 brings massive firepower to bear, in a short time, anywhere on the globe through previously impenetrable defenses. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Alexandra M. Boutte/Released)
