Judging a “bark” by its cover
Left to right: Tech. Sgt. Merl Tilley, Chief Master Sgt. Michael Faulkingham and Mary Jungnitsch judge the competition during the 6th Annual Bark in the Park June 16. There were 55 canines and more than 100 people who enjoyed 18 fun contests including awards for “Pet-Owner Look-Alike,” “Biggest Dog,” “Most Feminine,” “Biggest Bark,” and “Most Convincing Beggar.” Refreshments were served for pets and their owners as they viewed a military working dog demonstration. Representatives from “Greyhound Rescue” and Staff Sgt. Tom and Mrs. Corona, 509th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, educated the crowd about greyhound adoptions. Judges for the event were Mary Jungnitsch, 509th Services Squadron, Chief Master Sgt. Michael Faulkingham, 509th Medical Group and Tech Sgt. Merl Tilley, 509th Security Forces Squadron.
