An award fit for a King
Maj. Gen. King Sidwell, The Adjutant General, Missouri National Guard, receives a plaque and coin from retired Col. John Riffle, Missouri Officer’s Association of America president June 19at the Mission’s End. General Sidwell, who serves as the chief administrative officer to the governor for command and control of the 10,450 Missouri Army and Air National Guard personnel, began his military career more than 33 years ago as an enlisted soldier and was commissioned in August 1974, through the State Officer Candidate School at the Missouri Military Academy. General Sidwell also ensures the Missouri National Guard is trained, equipped and resourced for its dual-state and federal mission. He was appointed by the governor to serve as the adjutant general of the Missouri National Guard in January 2005. (U.S. Air Force photo David Crumley)
