Traveling Bouquet makes for a brighter day
WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. - Mr. Ruben Zamora, flower shop manager, drops off a bouquet of flowers to Kadeja Hughes, 509th Medical Group family practice, as part of the Traveling Bouquet program April 12, 2010. Petals and Blooms, the flower shop on base, recently planted some roots of their own to boost morale here. “The idea of the Traveling Bouquet is simple,” said Mr. Zamora, who is also a citizen Airmen for the 442nd Maintenance Squadron. “It’s meant to bring a smile to someone’s face and make their day a little brighter,” he said. Mr. Zamora recently started the program when he noticed an increased rate of fatalities here was casting a shadow across the base. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Jason Huddleston) (Released)
