Do you love to run? Hate to run? Have trouble motivating yourself to run? Need to lower your 1.5 mile time? Want someone to run with? Tired of treadmills?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, the Whiteman Running Club wants you to run with us on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Where/when will we run? There are many routes in Knob Noster, Warrensburg, Sedalia, and on base that can keep you from getting "cabin fever." Our Saturday runs begin promptly at 7:15 a.m. and will explore different routes on measured courses with water every couple of miles. Groups will warm up and start together, but you can break off whenever you finish your desired distance. This Saturday's run will meet in the Whiteman Fitness Center parking lot.

We will meet every Thursday at 6 p.m. in front of the fitness center and proceed to our workout area. Thursday workouts will use the track, nearby roads and trails to help prepare you for the 1.5 mile run and other short distance events.

What can you expect when you run with us? Experienced runners will lead groups of runners of all abilities. We will have at least four workout options at each Thursday and Saturday run. Whether you haven't been running at all or you're training for your next marathon, we will have a group for you. We encourage civilians, active duty, guard, reservists, and family members to come and join us.

Why do I need a running club? In addition to offering planned runs and routes, we can connect you with the local running community and help you train safely and stay injury-free so you can enjoy the benefits of proper running and training.
