Members from the Life Center, Base Chapel and Key Spouse group delivered approximately 520 care packages to dorm residents and personnel quarantined in temporary lodging at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, April 9, 2020.

The quarantined personnel recently arrived home from temporary duty in Europe and were quarantined as a precautionary measure to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Care packages included books, snacks, invitations to 509th Force Support Squadron online events and local helping agencies’ information.

Additionally, the Whiteman Key Spouse group coordinated with local families in the community to add Adopt-an-Airman cards along with each care package.

The cards included local families’ phone numbers so individuals could call for support. All items delivered were sanitized and delivered in accordance with Center for Disease Control and Prevention and 509th Medical Group guidelines ensuring minimal contact and safety of all personnel.
