WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo – An AH-64 Apache taxis into place Nov. 6. The Army National Guard's 1/135th Aviation Battalion flies the Apache around the clock to ensure they can conduct rear, close and shaping missions including deep precision strike as well as distributed operations, precision strikes against relocatable targets, and provides armed reconnaissance when required in day, night, obscured battlefield and adverse weather conditions. WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo – A B-2 Spirit takes off 45 minutes after sunset Nov. 6. The long exposure the photographer uses shows the path of the B-2 as it takes off. The B-2 is ready around the clock to bring massive firepower to bear, in a short time, anywhere on the globe through previously impenetrable defenses.
