He played college football at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kan. where he was a two-time junior college All-American, and then at the University of Arkansas. He played tight end for the New Orleans Saints from 2001-04, catching a total of 107 passes. His best season was 2003, when he caught 41 passes for 436 yards and five touchdowns.
