Whiteman Air Force Base -- The following events will be offered in celebration of Independence Day:

July 1:  Fireworks, a fishing derby and games. The fireworks celebration begins at 9:30 p.m. bring a chair and enjoy the show. The fishing derby is from 4-6 p.m. Weigh your fish and win a prize. Also on site are paddle boats, bouncy houses, and games for the family will continue from 4-9 p.m.

July 2: Free bowling at the Stars and Strikes Bowling Alley from noon-3 p.m.
