WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. --
The Air Combat Command Dining Facility Evaluation Team is evalutating the Ozark Inn staff and facility's food operations this week, as the team competes for the Hennessy Award.
The Hennessy Award, the oldest military food service award beginning in 1957, evaluates the quality of the staff and facility on food service, kitchen operations, serving and dining operations, sanitation, repair maintenance, personnel training and readiness, and management.
Tech. Sgt. Robert Hale, 509th Force Support Squadron Dining Facility Manager, said he expects to win the ACC Nomination and fine-tune their operations for the Air Force-level evaluation.
"We will continue our daily outstanding customer service while supporting our valued customers and the B-2 mission," said Sergeant Hale.
If the staff wins an ACC Hennessy Award, the Ozark Inn will go on to compete Air Force-wide. The Ozark Inn staff last won the ACC award in 2000.
