After more than six months of renovations, the Ozark Inn Dining Facility at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, is scheduled to be up and running Dec. 21, 2016.

Since June 7, the facility has been under construction generating a new sports section, conference room, serving line, exhaust hood and floor rafters, along with upgraded plumbing and electrical systems.

Airmen from the 509th Force Support Squadron who were employed at the dining facility helped at the Mission’s End club and the Royal Oaks Golf Course in Knob Noster, Missouri, where they assisted with offering other breakfast options for Airmen while the facility was closed. Others helped at the Whiteman Inn, fitness center and the marketing department.

Airmen who live in the dormitories received basic allowance for sustenance (BAS) and BAS type II while the dining facility was closed. These Airmen will no longer receive the BAS type II as of Dec. 21. Meal deductions will also be reinstated as of Dec. 21, except for those who work career fields where meal deductions are not taken due to dining facility availability and work schedules.

For those who live in the dorms, reference your December end-of-month leave and earnings statement to notice these changes.
