CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT JASON L. HODGES

Chief Master Sergeant Jason L. Hodges is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. He is the principal advisor to the Wing Commander and staff on mission effectiveness, professional development, military readiness, training, utilization, health, morale, and welfare of the command’s 3,900 enlisted Airmen. Chief Hodges provides strategic leadership and direction for the Total Force supporting and performing global combat operations helping to sustain America’s deterrence capabilities. Additionally, he maintains host installation support for 6,000 tenant unit and family members including an Air Force Reserve Wing, Missouri Air National Guard Bomb Wing, a reconnaissance squadron and a Missouri Army National Guard battalion. He supports flying assets in excess of $46 billion and a $147 million operations and maintenance budget.

Chief Hodges entered the Air Force in March 1994. His background includes various duties in logistics readiness. Throughout his career he has also served as a Convoy Commander, Combat Instructor, Curriculum Developer, Mediator, Senior Enlisted Leader, First Sergeant and First Sergeant MAJCOM Functional Manager. Chief Hodges has deployed in support of numerous contingencies and joint tours, including OPERATIONS SOUTHERN WATCH, JOINT GUARD, TASK FORCE DANGER, IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, ENDURING FREEDOM, FREEDOM SENTINEL and INHERENT RESOLVE. Prior to his current assignment he was the Command Chief at the 92d Air Refueling Wing, Fairchild AFB, Washington.
